Pauly D's New Beard Throws Fans For a Loop: 'What Happened To Your Face?'

Gym, tan, and laundry hasn't been the only thing on Pauly D's schedule because the "Jersey Shore" star just debuted a brand new look and he's been growing a beard! The 39-year-old dropped the unexpecting shot on his Twitter page Friday night and fans are giving mixed reviews on his bold transformation. Showing off his newly grown facial hair, the DJ looked unrecognizable with his dewy skin after he axed his fresh-faced look. In the selfie, Pauly D is seen starring into the camera with his signature gel-infused hairstyle and some added fur to his face.
Declaring this was the result of him staying at home like the rest of us, the MTV star was photographed showing off his muscles in a red tank top with his workout gear and music equipment in the background. His new look left jaws on the floor with several followers debating about whether they dig his facial hair. "No way in hell this is Pauly D. This has got to be Pauly E. Maybe even Pauly F," one person replied on the photo. "What the hell happened to your face?" asked another. "Why does he look like someone who looks like DJ Pauly D," mirrored a third. Not everyone is hating on his look though.
"Pauly D...D stands for DAMN," a fan commented. "this a beautiful pic dont let them tell you otherwise," another fan of the look wrote. Others said Pauly D's facial hair made him look like his "Jersey Shore" co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. "Why does Pauly D look like Ronnie dressed up as Pauly D........," someone joked. "Why Ron out here cosplaying as Pauly D?!," added another. While fans are split on Pauly D's hairy transformation, one person pointed out that it's not just his facial hair that is different. "At this point... the hair is the only thing even a little bit resembling pauly d," they joked.

This isn't the only time that Pauly D has shocked fans with a new look. His followers had a field day when he debuted his spikey hair without gel in June 2019. “Haters Will Say It’s Sweat, No Gel, Beard, Chest Hair, Outside :)” he captioned the shot at the time. Unlike this time around, fans were overjoyed with his laid-back look. “I never thought we’d see your hair without the gel. It looks great,” someone tweeted. “Boy why you been lookin like a slim Jim for the past 10+ years?! I’m team #nogel all the way," added another.
