Actress Pauley Perrette confirmed today that she's departing "NCIS" after 16 years.

Perrette addressed the news on social media, clearing up rumors about why she decided to quit the show after so long.

Perrette's fan-favorite character, gothic forensic scientist Abby Sciuto, is an original cast member of the show. She said she will wrap up the current season.
