As you know, Mahomes has had quite the year so far after signing a massive $450 Million contract and getting engaged to his longtime girlfriend. The baby announcement came as quite the surprise to most, as they were expecting the next big news to be about the couple’s wedding.

“Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding❤️,” Brittany captioned a photo of the two of them holding the ultrasound photo. Yep, it appears this will be quite the left turn when it comes to wedding planning.
The star QB posted a similar, but zoomed in, version of the same photo with simply a heart emoji.
If you didn’t know, Brittany and Patrick have been together for many years. The couple met in the 10th grade and have been dating ever since.

Football fans are aware Patrick Mahomes spend several years playing football at Texas Tech University, but Brittany also went away to play soccer at the University of Texas.
The couple kept up a long-distance relationship, and when he was drafted by The Kansas City Chiefs, they decided to move in together full-time.
Fans flooded both of their Instagram accounts to celebrate the wonderful news! As you can imagine, many KC fans are pumped to add a little one to their football family. “Kansas City is so excited to have our very own child,” one person posted.
