The celebration was not over for Patrick Mahomes and his girlfriend, Brittany Matthews until they froze their butts off in the 27-degree Kansas City weather!
The Super Bowl MVP was joined by his beau on the float as the team made their way through the city for the Chiefs' victory parade. Thousands of fans stood out in the cold to catch a glimpse of the great quarterback and they got to see Matthews as an added bonus. Brittany documented the whole experience on her Instagram story shared some cute pics to her feed.
"REDD KINGDOMMM❤️?" Brittany wrote in the caption of her kissing pics with Patrick before he quickly commented, "Dope pics babe."
Despite the temperature, Mahomes rode on the top of a double-decker bus as he chugged beer and got the crowd going. He stayed on the bus but a number of Chiefs' players walked alongside and interacted with the audience. Coach Andy Reid was even seen getting everyone hyped from the vehicle.
It was snowing just a little bit but Patrick and Brittany were dressed for the occasion and wore warm Kansas City apparel including a cute white beanie with a big puff ball at the top. Mahomes opted for a pair of Oakley goggles to keep the spraying champagne out of his eyes.
At the end of the parade, the team and organization gathered on stage to honor the team and thank the fans for their support. While Mahomes GF looked on from the crowd, she started an MVP chant that took over the crowd. Patrick took the mic and made a powerful statement.
“When I became the start for Kansas City, the first thing I wanted to do is bring the Lamar Hunt trophy back to this city and organization,” Mahomes exclaimed during the rally. “And the second most important thing was to get the Lombardi Trophy for the greatest coach of all time!”

Mahomes did what any other Super Bowl MVP would do... he went to the most magical place on earth and he got to enjoy it with Mattews. When asked what he would do next after the big game was over, he uttered those iconic words, “I'm going to Disney World!” Having him at the park for a day was the least Disney could do because there are reports that his mention of those five little words was worth $1 billion for the company based on what Super Bowl ad time costs.
Brittany shared some fantastic snaps of themselves posing with the original it couple, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. "I am so beyond proud of this dude and this team, all year it was about battling, amazing comebacks and overcoming an injury, and for that YOU DESERVE THIS, no better way to end it than at this Magical Place!!?❤️?" she captioned the sweet pics.
We are all proud of you, Patrick... except the 49ers fans.
