Do You Think He's Finally Done?

We've just found out a couple of new things about Papa John's founder and former CEO John Schnatter: He's eaten 40 pizzas in the last 30 days (!), and he has some kind of sweating disorder. We don't know exactly what. Maybe it's from all the pizza-eating.

Schnatter recently had an interview with WDRB that's gone viral for its strangeness.

Twitter

During the interview, Schnatter brought up that conference call in which he said “Colonel Sanders called blacks n—–s,” saying the Kentucky Fried Chicken boss never got in trouble for that.

Schnatter, in this new interview, says that “conference call was taped.” But don't worry, he says that's “good for me” since Schnatter “didn’t say anything that was racist.”

OK. Sure.

The former CEO also says that during that conference call, he was only attempting to “convey his hatred for racism.”

Got it.

It's All a Setup

Schnatter claims he was set up by his employees.

“They know what they did, they know it was a setup, they know this whole thing is an entire farce," he says.

Then the interview turns a bit rancid.

“I’ve had over 40 [Papa John’s] pizzas in the last 30 days, they don’t make them the way I used to make it, the way we used to make it.”

Stay tuned, the day of reckoning will come, the record will be straight.”

Someone took this portion of the interview and laid it over some football footage, and it's perfect.

People also started to mix up parts of Schnatter's interview for comedic effect.

"He should be in jail because....he has no pizza experience? This dude is looking rough," said @wasukasa.

@lauraapollo seems frustrated that every day in this country is off the rails. "Can we have one fekin sane day, FFS? 😳 'My metaphor is: There's no reason to be in the car when the car crashes even if you love the car,' he said."

Some even turned it into a movie trailer.

Laying It On a Bit Thick

Twitter

Schnatter seems very slick in this interview too. The light is bouncing off his skin rather brightly, and his hair is overly greasy from something. Is it the pizza grease?

"He look as crusty and greasy as his nasty ass pizzas," said @keatxngrant.

@LAAAA put it to us straight.

"He looks as sick as someone who has had over 40 pizzas in the last 30 days should look (like Trump). He’s doughy skinned, sweaty, w/an odd face color, just all around the look of someone who has been on a suicide diet for life. It’s not a pretty site. What is he babbling about?"

If It's As Good As This, We Will Stay Tuned

When the interviewer asks him why the record needs to be straightened, all Schnatter says is “Stay tuned.”

This viral tweet uses part of Schnatter's interview and slows down his voice for extra deranged effect.

The whole interview just doesn't make any sense, and thank god social media is here to help us straighten it out.
