Jon Peters claims to have paid off his ex-Pamela Anderson massive debt before the two broke up 12 days after their wedding.

The legendary producer spoke to Page Six about the failed romance and their extremely short-lived marriage. Last month, Pamela and Jon announced they got hitched in a private ceremony in Malibu. The two previously dated over 30 years ago. The two broke it off days later.

In his interview, Peters claims Anderson is “broke” and he paid off her debts after rekindling their romance. He said, “There’s no fool like an old fool.”

Peters claimed Anderson wasn’t telling the truth about their proposal. She said he popped the question but Peters says it’s the other way around. He said Anderson was lying about the situation and she proposed to him in a text.

He claims to have left another woman after Anderson came back into his life. He said Anderson had $200,000 in bills and “no way to pay it.” He added, “If she meant controlling- I’ve paid … bills since she was broke. I bought her a completely new wardrobe."

He showed Page Six a text message he sent the actress after the split.

It read, “these past 9 days have been a beautiful amazing love fest. this whole marriage thing with lawyers, debt, and jazmin has scared me. it made me realize that at 74 i need a simple quiet life and not an international love affair. Peters also claims to have issues with a new website she is partnering with. He said, “Since I have worked my whole life to try to make something for myself, that was very concerning to me.”

A source told the outlet Anderson felt like she jumped into the marriage because her “heart was “too open” from a recent” spiritual cleanse.

Anderson has yet to respond to the $200,000 debt allegation.
