Snoop Dogg, Meek Mill, T.I. Pay Tribute To Nipsey Hussle On The First Anniversary Of His Death

Nipsey Hussle is being remembered by the hip-hop community and music fans around the nation on the first anniversary of the rapper's death. Meek Mill, Snoop Dogg, and T.I all paid their respects to the slain rapper on social media.

Many are using the #marathoncontinues a nod to the powerful mixtape released by the rapper in 2011.

Rapper Meek Mill took to Instagram and posted several photos of the rapper on stage with the caption, "#themarathoncontinues 🙏🏾🙏🏾👑 #nipforever."

Today marks the one-year anniversary of Nipsey Hussle's tragic death. On March 31, 2019, Hussle was gunned down in front of his clothing store in South Central Los Angeles. The gunman was arrested and has been charged with murder. His case is still pending.

The rapper's brother, Samiel Asghedom, posted a photo of Hussle just weeks before he was killed attending the 2019 Grammy Awards with his daughter, Emani.

Snoop Dogg paid tribute to the fallen artist, simply posting, "🙏🏾🌹😢."

Rapper T. I. shared a video of Nipsey, comedian Dave Chapelle and himself inside of a nightclub. "Rest up Cuzz 🏁🙏🏽" he wrote. Adding, "Just Us Kickin shit Before the world went crazy... Ain't been the same since. Never will be. Even still... We'll take memories like these & lessons we learned from your life into eternity wit us King. TMC🏁"

Nipsey Hussle's Girlfriend, Lauren London, "I'm Holding It Down"

The NAACP's official twitter account issues a statement in recognition of the day, "#RestInPower to the young brother #NipseyHussle. Your life and legacy of community building will not be forgotten. #TheMarathonContinues."

At the time of his death, Nipsey was with Lauren London, who he shared his second child. Leading up to the anniversary, the actress posted several photos of Hussle. One photo included this message, "Honorable. Powerful. Beautiful You Are. Miss you every second of every day and even in my sleep. Until we are together again .... I’m holding it down."
