Nicole Kidman doesn’t want “Big Little Lies” fans to give up hope on a season 3.
The actress revealed they’re “exploring it” while attending the GQ Awards on Tuesday.
Kidman’s “BLL” news comes just two months after HBO President, Casey Bloys, hinted they may be done with the series.
When asked about a season 3 possibility, Kidman said she and co-star Reese Witherspoon are on board.
“Reese and I just spoke literally two days ago and we were going, ‘Yeah…’” she told New Zealand journalist Dan Wootton.
“I mean, we were both saying it’s one of the best experiences we’ve ever had,” she added. “It’s definitely not right now, but we’re definitely exploring it.”
Bloys recently told TVLine that due to scheduling conflicts with the stars of the show — which, besides Kidman and Witherspoon, includes Laura Dern/tag/laura-dern), Zoë Kravitz, Shailene Woodley and last season’s newcomer Meryl Streep — the network may have to kibosh a potential next season.
“I love this group of people – I would do anything with them,” he said this summer. “But the reality is, they are some of the busiest actresses working in Hollywood.”
And while HBO has “deals with some of them,” including Kidman’s new show, “The Undoing,” he said that sadly, “it’s not realistic.’
But don’t tell that to Dern, who plays badass Renata Klein in the series, because she might come after you like she did her husband.
Dern was praised during last season’s finale for her empowering performance as an overachiever who loses control when she learns her husband lost all their millions AND had an affair with their nanny.
Fans were thrilled to see how Dern’s character developed into a no-nonsense boss in work and at home.
By the end of the season, we were all eating out of Reneta’s hand and we don’t want a world or storyline without her in it!!
So, please, HBO, BRING BACK “BLL!”
