She posted several pictures on Instagram and added just the hash tag #Preggers.
This would be her first child with husband Kenneth "Zoo" Petty, who she married in October.
Minaj made the announcement on Instagram, and sported several different looks for the special occasion.
In one look, she's wearing lacy white stockings, sparkly heels, a blue wig and a very blinged out bikini. A green bow tops off her outfit.
She's seen definitely holding her belly, and her linea alba -- the dark line running down the middle of her tummy -- is visible.
In another look, she's wearing a yellow wig, stilettos, and a bikini that's encrusted with baby bling - literally.
There's a blue pacifier, a pink baby rattle, an oversized yellow safety pin, buttons and lots more.
She seems to be fairly far along in the pregnancy, so by now she might know whether she's carrying a boy or a girl, but she's certainly not telling us. And using both "typical" baby colors like pink and blue isn't helping the guessing game either.
Fans were clearly overjoyed. yallfavoriteholliday wrote: "Omggg congratulations 💕💕💕💕 i cant wait!!!!!"
People were saying they knew all along that she was with child.

"I've decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me … Love you for LIFE."
Her original retirement announcement in September had fans worried and seeking more information. Fans of the rap star were taking it very personally.
“Can u please just address this retirement thing,” said one person, while another wrote: “You … never left us so hurt your entire career. We’re just hurting Nicki.”
Minaj spoke to them directly, saying:
“I’m still right here. Still madly in love with you guys & you know that.”
She continued, acknowledging that the news was abrupt:
“In hindsight, this should’ve been a Queen Radio discussion & it will be. I promise u guys will be happy. No guests, just us talking about everything," she said, talking about the Apple Beats 1 show.
“The tweet was abrupt & insensitive, I apologize babe ❤️🙏,” Minaj said.
Either way, now there's more Minaj news for fans to gush over.
