The stylist says the evidence shows Minaj used her power and resources to throw him to the wolves. He argues the case at hand is very simple. Jridi says Minaj had him buy and rent clothes for several music videos with Katy Perry and Quavo, performances with Drake, H&M Fashion Show, Balmain fashion show, Rick Owens fashion show, a Gucci Mane music video and another with David Guetta. He styled her for appearances on Ellen, the Billboard Music Awards in 2017, a Birthday bash festival in Atlanta and many other events.

He claims to have even done personal shopping for Minaj’s brother and helped get her ready for the VMA’s in 2017. He claims Minaj failed to return all the borrowed items. He says he didn’t benefit from borrowing the clothes and Minaj was the one who used the clothes.

In the original lawsuit filed by the stylist, he accuses her of refusing to return a bunch of borrowed designer clothes from a third-party company. Jridi was recommended to Minaj by her modeling agency Wilhelmina in 2017.

He worked with Minaj on several music videos shoots which no real issues. However, he claims towards the end of their working relationship she refused to return several expensive items. He claims the third-party company sued him and won a $74,000 judgment against him over the unreturned clothes. He sued seeking $72,000 in damages.

Minaj countersued the stylist saying she overpaid him $12,000 and he refused to return the extra money. She recently headed to court asking the judge to dismiss all claims against her. She argued the evidence and her testimony proves she did nothing wrong. Minaj believes the contracts are clear all issues with the stylist had to go through Wilhelmina not her.

The rapper said Jridi failed to properly take inventory of borrowed items and she did anything wrong. She said in court documents, “The nature of Jridi’s services for Maraj was such that he frequently had to rent wardrobe items from third parties for Maraj’s short-term use. Customarily, when stylists are hired to perform these services, they are expected to photograph all items that they rent to keep track of inventory and maintain accountability.”

Minaj is asking the court to only allow her case to move forward. The judge has yet to rule.
