Nick Di Paolo made the Photoshop fail to end all Photoshop fails.
The comedian posted his new comedy special to YouTube on Monday and key art features a photo of Di Paolo giving a group of young protestors the middle finger.
But comedy writer/producer Sachi Ezura noticed that one of the people in the photo was Muhiyidin Moye (also known as Muhiyidin d’Baha) a black activist who was killed in New Orleans in February 2018 at the age of 32.
“The guy in the Black Lives Matter shirt is activist Muhiyidin Moye who was shot and killed last year,” Ezura wrote, “but yeh sure, use him as your prop in a shitty photoshop job to demonstrate how edgy and brave you are.”

Di Paolo responded to the tweet a few hours later, saying, “I did not know that as I found it online in stock photos. Looking into changing it as we speak. My apologies.”
Muhiyidin made national headlines in 2017 when he leaped over police tape to snatch a Confederate flag during a protest in Charleston, South Carolina.
