Nick Cannon is collecting concerns from worried fans revealing he spent a whole day fasting, meditating, and praying in honor of Tisha B’av following his anti-Semitic rants. The annual fast day pays tribute to a number of disasters in Jewish history that occurred. After copping backlash for his comments about the Jewish community and losing his job as host of “Wild ‘n Out,” Nick Cannon terrified his followers after sharing a post tagging himself in “Heaven” and saying, “Goodbye Earth.” He went dark on social media for nearly two days before returning to reveal he was having suicidal thoughts.
Fans were immediately worried about Nick Cannon’s mental health which sparked a big debate when rapper Waka Flocka Flame made insensitive comments aimed at the “Masked Singer” host. Nick Cannon later deleted any trace of his suicidal thoughts on his Instagram and has slowly been replacing them with posts showing he’s trying to learn more about the Jewish culture.
On Friday, July 31, the ex “Wild ‘n Out” host made eyebrows raise when he revealed he observed Tisha B’av and is reading a book called, “How to Fight Anti-Semitism.”
In his lengthy post, Nick Cannon revealed he learned about the book’s author because she retweeted an article which “referred to me as a racist pig, brainwashed, ignorant and even a Nazi, and many other disrespectful things about me and my family.”
He then acknowledged that he’s “guilty of not having been fully educated in the space of the trigger words and coded conversation,” and that “baseless hate for an entire community must end.” While Nick Cannon is clearly trying to make his wrongs right, many of his fans are worried about the star’s mental state.
“Bruh stay stiff, yu folding,” one person wrote. “Damm they took my brother away from us. Our only frontline soilder has been silenced. Now who is gonna fight for us,” another asked. “Is this man okay? He’s going beyond,” added a third.
Other followers weren’t impressed with Nick Cannon’s approach. “This n—- is a fuckin jewish pretzel at this point,” someone posted. “This n—-done turned Jewish ?,” added a second. “Bro if you know the true Israelites are Black and Hispanic why do you continue to learn from our oppressors??? I understand your platform but you can’t go back into the matrix,” shared another.
