'Glee' Star Naya Rivera Fans Hold Vigil At Lake Piru To Mourn The Actress -- See The Photos!

Naya Rivera's fans gathered at Lake Piru, the place where she passed away, this weekend -- to hold a vigil in honor of the 'Glee' star -- nearly one month after she drowned in the same lake.

The fans arrived to the Los Angeles area lake from all over the country, including some from Oregon, Indiana, and all across California.

Many supporters arrived to tell stories of how Rivera affected their lives and played a role in encouraging them to accept and be open about their sexuality.

As you know, Naya made impact in many people's lives with her groundbreaking on-screen performance of 'Santana Lopez' on 'Glee' a character who navigated her own sexuality.

Fans united on Twitter through a page called 'Naya Army' and shared photos and messages about their favorite TV actress.

Many in attendance on Saturday, posted photos of the giant vigil built on the shoreline near where the actresses' body was found a few days after disappearing. One sign (above) was in the form of a rainbow flag, signed by hundreds, and read "Thank You Naya, RIP."

According to CBS News, who interviewed several fans on the scene, many people described how much influence Naya's character had on their lives.

“Without ‘Glee,’ I swear I would not be here. I would not be alive. That’s just a fact,” one fan said.

Another added, “After seeing them on TV, I was like it is okay to be different,” about the impact she had on them.

A group of fans even created custom signs with her name and photo attached -- where fans could hold them as they walked the lake, or place them in the ground. (See Below)

Actress Laid To Rest Near Nipsey Hussle, Paul Walker At Famous Cemetary

We broke the story, Naya Rivera was laid to rest last week, inside a famous Hollywood cemetery near Nipsey Hussle and actor Paul Walker.

According to reports, a private ceremony was held on July 24, 2020, at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills.

As we reported, Naya Rivera drowned after renting a boat with her young son and swimming in the lake. It unclear why Rivera was unable to get back inside the boat, but investigators said she lifted her son back into the boat before slipping under the water.

Authorities have ruled out alcohol or drugs as contributing factors in her death.
