Mrs. Texas Earth 2020 Pam Agullo is planning to compete in the Miss USA pageant later this year.
We’re told the beauty queen has set her sights on winning the prestigious competition. The Miss USA pageant has yet to announce its 2020 date.
Pam, along with the rest of the pageant world, is currently dealing with a ton of events being pushed back due to the pandemic. Pam spoke to The Blast about the changes, “Most pageants including miss earth are getting pushed back. Ours tentatively January 2021. They decided that for the Miss division only, they will hold virtual pageant this August.”
She continued, “I honestly think it’s a great way to work around and adapt to the current situation we are living in. Going virtual is the new norm for many events, not only the pageant industry. I do however feel that even though technology allows excellent streaming and video capability it greatly limits the human connection factor which in my opinion is crucial. Crucial since the best representative of the particular cause should have the appropriate human qualities as well, which may be difficult to judge through virtual means.
As The Blast previously reported, Pam is currently also the running to become a Maxim cover model.
Sources tell The Blast, the beauty queen has beat out a ton of other contestants to make it to the finals. She is currently in the top 5 finalists for the contest.
Maxim, the legendary Men’s magazine, is running a contest where readers will choose the next woman to grace the cover. The winner not only receives a “lavish photoshoot” with legendary photographers Gilles Bensimon but will be paid $25,000.
