“Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara and her costars got emotional during the final taping but went out with an epic wrap party.
Vergara shared a video of the cast and crew standing on set hugging each other while singing Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)” Vergara is seen tearing up while next to Julie Bowen and Sarah Hyland.
Once the final scene wrapped, Ariel Winter was seen crying while Hyland jumped for joy. Vergara shared a photo of her television husband Ed O’Neill next to her real husband Joe Manganiello.
After the final scene was shot, everyone was ready to party and celebrate their mega-successful show coming to an end. The entire group ended the evening by watching a blooper reel in a theater on the lot. Vergara’s son, Manolo, posted a photo of the lot writing, “So long, Stage 5.”
Vergara shared a video of the cast and crew on the backlot captioned, “Se nos acabó la fiesta!!!???????? Adios stage5 ! Modern Family❤️ 11 years!!!” The video was shot on a drone and it zooms out as the cast waves goodbye.
Prior to filming her last scene, Ariel Winter shared a snap on set writing, “In just a few hours we will series wrap on @abcmodernfam, and along with everything else, I will be saying goodbye to the trailer I have had for almost a decade. Goodbye trailer! Goodbye Alex plaque! ? #modernfamily #memories #family #farewell”
