"Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland is lucky she didn't check to see if her co-star Ariel Winter had seen "The Shining" before filming their video because the result is too good! The two actors have been taping the last Christmas episode for "Modern Family" as the series wraps up its final season, and they took a break in between takes to shoot a fun video.

While posing in matching holiday outfits, Hyland and Winter stood in front of a Christmas tree and prepared to belt out one of the most famous lines from Stephen King's "The Shining."

The stars were portraying the infamous Grady Twins, who were unfortunately axed to death by their father in King's horror tale. They are best known for appearing in Stanley Kubrick's 1980 film adaptation, and try and coax little Danny Torrance to "Come play with us."

However, 21-year-old Winter has never actually seen the film, or read the book apparently -- so she proudly belted out the line, "Come play with us, Daddy!" Hyland immediately noticed the flub and called her co-star out on it.

"Did you say daddy?!" she exclaimed, while Winter sheepishly admitted she thought that was the line.

"You've never seen 'The Shining?!" Hyland couldn't hold back her laughter while their "Modern Family" co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson cracked up behind the camera. "That was sooo corny," Ferguson commented.

The cast of "Modern Family" has been sharing many special moments as the show winds down taping the final episodes. This past week they have been shooting the last holiday episode, and Eric Stonestreet posted a ton of photos from the production.

"All the feels shooting our last Christmas episode ever for Modern Family this week."

Stonestreet, who plays Cameron Tucker, shared behind-the-scenes photos of co-stars Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Nolan Gould and Rico Rodriguez.

Just because it's the last season of "Modern Family" doesnt mean the cast is going to stop the good-natured teasing. Along with the group of photos Stonestreet posted of his co-stars, he made sure to give Jesse Tyler Ferguson the FaceApp treatment and turn the star into an old man. Old man Ferguson can be seen in matching Christmas outfits with the rest of the family, and the fact that Stonestreet doesn't even point out that he aged his on-screen husband makes the prank extra good.

Unfortunately one of the "Modern Family" stars has been dealing with some backlash in between the fun times on set. Over the weekend Sarah Hyland posted a cheeky photo to Instagram of herself and fiancé Wells Adams in a very NSFW pose, and many fans thought it sent the wrong message.

"This is completely sick. Strong #metoo vibes. What is it with LA and everyone being a creep?" one person commented.

Another wrote, "Like queens = like objects? The dissolution of patriarchal gender relations can't come soon enough."

Luckily there were also scores of fans coming to Hyland's defense and claiming the photo was clearly done with consent and meant to be fun.

"All this hate! Dang! They are just having fun!" one person wrote.

Hyland has not yet addressed the controversy, but the photo remains up on her Instagram page.
