'Mob Wives' Star Drita D'Avanzo's Husband Gets More Than FIVE Years In Prison For Gun Case

'Mob Wives' star Drita D'Avanzo broke down outside of a Brooklyn courthouse on Friday, after her husband was sentenced to over FIVE years in prison for having two loaded guns in the couple's home.

According to multiple reports, Lee D'Avanzo was just handed down a stiff sentence of 64 months, but a judge who reportedly thought the needed to learn a lesson.

The 'Mob Wives' star and her two daughters were present in court for the hearing, where he faced charges of being a felon in possession of a weapon. The guns were located after narcotics officers discovered them in the family’s Staten Island home in December.

Lee D'Avanzo is a reported associate of Bonnano crime family, and pleads guilty to the charge and prosecutors were only asking for three to four years in prison for the crime.

But, the judge, in this case, threw the book at him sentencing him to 64 months. During the hearing, judge Rachel P. Kovner told the courtroom that keeping two loaded guns with hollow-point ammunition in a home with 2 daughters was extremely dangerous.

Kovner added she didn't thing Lee would learn his lesson if he received a lighter sentence.

Judge Claimed She Has A Duty To Protect The Public...

“He has six prior convictions, including two prior federal convictions,” the judge said, citing a drug case and a racketeering and money laundering conspiracy on D’Avanzo’s record.

She continued, “He violated supervised release with a burglary offense, breaking into a bank and trying to get into a vault with high-speed drills ... Two prior sentences of approximately 60 months were not sufficient to deter the defendant from serious crimes.”

In the hearing, the judge said she had a duty to protect the public. Plus, once he is released from prison, he will be on 2 years of supervised release.

According to reports, the reality star was visibly upset after hearing the sentence dropped in the courtroom.
