Liam Hemsworth has made the first and filed for divorce from Miley Cyrus.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Hemsworth filed divorce docs in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday morning. He cited irreconcilable differences for the split.

The couple was married on December 23, 2018 and Hemsworth lists the date of separation as "TBD."

Hemsworth is also asking the court not to award either of them any spousal support, citing a prenup the former couple signed before they tied the knot.

The couple announced their split earlier this month, saying, "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

The two were married at Miley's Nashville home over Christmas during an intimate ceremony.

"It was a really special day. It was pretty much just immediate family," the singer later explained about the nuptials.

She added, "I feel really happy and really fortunate to be with such a great person," while Hemsworth said, "We've been through so much together over the last, ten years, so it felt like it was time.”

Hemsworth spoke out separately about the split a few days later, saying, "Hi all

Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love."
