Michael Avenatti is back to business after his release from jail, and he won't be satisfied until he sees the executives from Nike "being led away in handcuffs."
Avenatti had dinner Wednesday night at Craig's in West Hollywood, one of his favorite hangouts in town.
On his way out, he assured photographers that his arrest for the alleged extortion of Nike won't have any effect on the R. Kelly case. He says, much like we've reported, that the criminal case against Kelly will be based on the evidence in the case, and not the lawyers involved.
As for his battle with Nike, Avenatti believes he will be completely exonerated and Nike will be in big trouble. The lawyer says Nike "lied to the government and played the government and prosecutors," adding that he's "Looking forward to Nike execs being led away in handcuffs."
