Megyn Kelly's show at NBC has come to an end.
After days of speculation about her future at the network, NBC released a statement on Friday morning saying, "Megyn Kelly Today is not returning. Next week, the 9 a.m. hour will be hosted by other TODAY co-anchors."
Her attorney, Bryan Freedman, said in a statement, "Megyn remains an employee of NBC News and discussions about next steps are continuing."
Kelly's departure was a foregone conclusion after the recent controversy surrounding her comments about blackface. Her attempt at an apology was greeted by applause from her studio audience but did not go over as well with her NBC colleagues.
Kelly took over the third hour of "Today" in September 2017 and struggled in the ratings since the beginning.
As The Blast previously reported, although some might expect Kelly to land at Fox News, a rep for the network tells us, "We are extremely happy with our entire line-up."
