New House Is SUPER Private, Behind Several Gates...

The decision to move out of L.A. came on the heels of the former royal couple filing a lawsuit against the paparazzi for hounding them and flying drones over their rental house.

Meghan and Harry had been renting Tyler Perry's massive Hollywood Hills mansion, but almost immediately photographers descended on their new home.

In the lawsuit, the couple claims the photogs would fly drones over the house at all hours of the day, and even photographed young Archie in their backyard.

The bottom line -- there is far less action in Santa Barbara County and their new house is behind several gates. So, it will be far more private for the family.

The lawsuit is ongoing.
