Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are putting the drama back home to bed. The couple was seen together for the first time since Megxit, photographed stepping off a plane in Canada on Valentine’s Day. The actress and her royal beau were all smiles when they touched down at Victoria International Airport on Friday. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are already adapting to their new self-sufficient life perfectly because, in the photos obtained by Daily Mail, they were snapped carrying their own luggage off the commercial flight despite having what appeared to be a small security team with them.
The royal couple was not traveling with their 9-month-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Prince Harry kept his flight attire casual, wearing a brown baseball cap, gray sweater, and jeans. Meghan Markle sported black jeans, a sweater, and a striped button shirt that she left mostly unbuttoned to show off her cleavage, and freedom. It’s refreshing to see the duo on a commercial plane, considering they’ve been under fire for preaching about saving the environment, but using private jets to fly them around the world on lavish vacations.
The Dutchess looked ready for business, accessorizing her cool travel outfit with a sleek black leather laptop case that she held closely under her arm. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry flew into Canada from the United States, where they were presumed to be taking business meetings last week. Part of their deal leaving the royal life behind included not being able to receive public funds anymore. The married couple will now have to find ways to make their own money. They also agreed to pay back 2.4 million pounds of taxpayers’ money which were spent on renovating their home by Windsor Castle.
Based on the pictures, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry look stronger than ever. They appeared as a united front while engaging playfully together off the plane. The Duke of Sussex made the last round of London appearances before heading to meet his wife in the States. They were in the United States last week, making their first public appearance together since announcing they were taking a step back from their royal duties. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended the JP Morgan summit on February 6, alongside billionaire Robert Kraft, rapper Meek Mill, and several other financial moguls. Following their announcement, Queen Elizabeth II shared her own thoughts on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new life, saying, “I recognise the challenges they have experienced as a result of intense scrutiny over the last two years and support their wish for a more independent life. I want to thank them for all their dedicated work across this country, the Commonwealth and beyond. It is my whole family’s hope that today’s agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life.”
