Meghan Markle Asked Prince Charles to Walk Her Down the Aisle

Meghan Markle just made one of the first royally good moves to her upcoming marriage by formally asking Prince Harry's father to walk her down the aisle.

Contrary to reports that Markle was going to walk with her money-hungry father down the aisle while he and Markle's half-sister continue to exploit the royal wedding to line their pockets from media outlets ... Kensington Palace finally came out and announced she had already asked Prince Charles to be by her side.

The official proclamation reads: "Ms. Meghan has asked His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of the Quire of St. George's Chapel on her Wedding Day. The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle to the Royal Family in this way."

The statement from Kensington Palace does not mention Markle's father, and it appears the plan all along was for Prince Charles to have the honor.
