Megan Fox Is Cleansing Her Body of 'Demons' After Revealing 'Breakdown'

By Whitney Vasquez

Megan Fox is getting rid of any remaining demons from her brain to commemorate "Jennifer's Body" 10-year anniversary.

Just this week, the actress revealed she had a "psychological breakdown" after filming the 2009 movie following years of being sexualized and objectified throughout her career.

Posting a selfie on Thursday showing a white crystal placed on her forehead, she said she was "cleansing."

"In celebration of Jennifer’s Body’s 10th anniversary, I am just here cleansing any remaining demons out of my brain. Waiting on the shaman like," Fox wrote.

Clearly a nod to her possessed character in the movie, it's an interesting post considering she just opened up about the emotional toll roles like this have taken on her mental state.

As The Blast reported, the 33-year-old recently told ET how being overly sexualized threw her into a downward spiral where she wanted to shut herself away from the public eye.

"It wasn't just that movie, it was everyday of my life, all the time, with every project I worked on and every producer I worked with," Fox recalled. "It preceded a breaking point for me."

"I think I had a genuine psychological breakdown where I wanted just nothing to do," she continued.

"I didn't want to be seen, I didn't want to have to take a photo, do a magazine, walk a carpet, I didn't want to be seen in public at all because the fear, and the belief, and the absolute certainty that I was going to be mocked, or spat at, or someone was going to yell at me, or people would stone me or savage me for just being out… so I went through a very dark moment after that."

Fox credits becoming a mother for helping her pull out of her funk.

She and husband Brian Austin Green welcomed their first child, Noah, in 2012. Fox has since given birth to two other babies.

"I think it took getting pregnant -- that was the first real breakthrough where my consciousness shifted and my mind opened up and I was able to see from a birds eye view and breath and take it in," Fox said.

"And then another kid, and then another kid and with every kid I feel like that's always been the doorway into a better version of myself."
