Mary-Kate Olsen has officially filed for divorce from Olivier Sarkozy, and yes she was able to pull it off on Memorial Day.

According to new legal documents, Mary-Kate was able to file the divorce case after the courts in New York reopened after weeks of being down due to Coronavirus.

The 33-year-old 'Full House' star had previously attempted to file emergency documents during the city lockdown but was shot down after the court said it was accepting "non-emergency" cases amid the pandemic.

So, courts began accepting electronic cases on Monday, and MKO got the filing in! Happy Memorial Day!

This doesn't mean the case is going to go any smoother than has in the past, as we said, Mary-Kate sought to get an emergency order earlier this month to force her estranged husband to allow her to stay in the couple's Gramercy Park apartment during the lockdown.

In her original court filing, Mary-Kate claimed that her 50-year-old husband ended the lease on their $29,000 a month luxury apartment and she would have to vacate the premises immediately.

Of course, this was not ideal considering she would have to look for a new place, amid a massive health crisis.

According to the New York Post, the 'Full House' star attempted to keep her divorce filings private, but the May 14 filing went into the electronic filing system due to the courthouses being shut down.

At the time, it was reported, Mary-Kate was "petrified" of being forced to leave her home, during such a scary time.

In the court documents, Mary-Kate pled with the judge, saying, “My husband expects me to move out of our home on [May 18] in the middle of New York City being on pause due to COVID-19.”

Plus, emails attached to the court documents reveal Sarkozy has requested that building management give him permission to move his things out, but he has been denied because of the lockdown.

Interestingly, Mary-Kate included a request for the couple's prenuptial agreement to be enforced in her filing. These two BOTH have tons of money.

But, a judge ordered this situation as 'non-essential' and pushed the matter back to when the courts reopened. According to reports, MKO has moved to the Hamptons and will fight the matter as soon as the courts open.

Well, they opened today...Memorial Day.

Happy Holidays!
