Mark Salling has pled guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor and, as part of his plea agreement, has agreed to serve 4-7 years behind bars.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Salling must also register as a sex offender, have no communication with anyone under the age of 18 (unless in the presence of a parent or legal guardian).
Once he is released from prison, the former "Glee" star must adhere to certain guidelines and will be under supervised release for 20 years. He must stay 100 feet away from schoolyards and parks, public swimming pools, playgrounds, and video arcade facilities.
Salling was ordered to pay $50,000 in restitution to each victim who has requested it. He was also ordered to enter a sex offender treatment program.
Salling was facing a maximum of 20 years behind bars.
According to the court documents, Salling used the internet in his home from April 2015 through December 2015 to "download thousands of images of child pornography." The documents say Salling used software to mask his IP address, but showed his child pornography to an adult woman on at least two occasions. That woman ultimately reported him to police.
When law enforcement executed a search warrant on Salling's home they found more than 50,000 images and videos of child pornography on his laptop and another 4,000 images on a flash drive.
According to Crime Watch Daily, police raided Salling's home in December 2015 and used a battering ram to force entry into his home.
