Mariah Carey & Mindy Kaling Are Emma Thompson's #1 Stans

Mariah Carey and Mindy Kaling have something in common ... they're huge fans of Emma Thompson!

The two super stars bonded Wednesday on Twitter over their love of the Oscar-winner's work.

Mariah responded to a tweet posted by Mindy, after the "Office" star asked her followers which Emma Thompson movie is their favorite.

The diva's response was so Mariah, giving an explanation as to why Thompson's 1995 film, "Sense and Sensibility," is at the top of her list.

It's an interesting pick for Mariah since the movie is about a man who dies and leaves his wife and daughter's cash poor.

Fun fact: Emma actually wrote the screenplay and starred as the main character alongside Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant and James Fleet.

Mindy, who actually stars with Thompson in the comedy, "Late Night," has a whole bunch of favorites.

Hers include: "Saving Mr. Banks," "The Children Act" and "The Remains of the Day."

Mindy also points out that she too loves "Sense and Sensibility."

Lucky for Mindy, she and Emma Thompson have become the best of friends while onset of "Late Night."

Last month, the stars showed off their friendship while promoting their movie overseas.

The two looked close as they posed for photographers in London.

Thompson kept it simple in a white, flowing blouse with wide slacks while Mindy wore a floral dress and studded, black stilettos.

Thompson plays a ball-breaking boss who tortures all of her employees with endless demands and Kaling's character is her newest target.

Thompson's character is in jeopardy of losing her talk show and looks to Kaling to help save her job.

"Late Night" is out in select theaters now.
