By TheBlast Staff on April 26, 2018 at 11:54 AM EDT

Jay-Z and his talent management company may end up being front and center during the legal battle between Mariah Carey and her ex-manager.

Sources close to the situation tell The Blast that Stella Bulochnikov will raise the question of whether or not Mariah was still under contract with Stella when her new manager — Roc Nation's Melissa Ruderman — started making decisions.

Our sources say that Stella had Mariah's 2018 calendar filled with performances and new deals for the singer's brand. But she claims when Roc Nation came into the picture, many of the shows were canceled and some were then rebooked through the new management.

We're told Stella believes that she is owed millions of dollars in commissions, including money for the shows that were canceled by Roc Nation following the managerial dispute.

One of the biggest deals Stella negotiated for Mariah Carey was with The Venetian in Las Vegas for a residency. We're told that deal alone was worth close to $15 million. Our sources say it has since been scrapped by her new team.

Looks like Hova himself may have to step in and settle the beef.

We reached out to Roc Nation and Melissa Ruderman for comment — so far, no word back.

Carey and Bulochnikov parted ways last November and at the time they issued a joint statement making it seem like they parted on good terms.

But earlier this month, Bulochnikov filed paperwork with the court ahead of a planned lawsuit alleging breach of contract and violation of the U.S. Civil Rights Act.

In a statement to The Blast, Bulochnikov's attorney, Pierce O'Donnell, accused Carey of being "addicted to alcohol, prescription pills, and marijuana."

He also claimed that Mariah’s big reveal to PEOPLE that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2001 is “a big lie.” O’Donnell says that while the diagnosis was true, “the reason that she is in the position she is in now is she refused to take her medication.”

As The Blast first reported, Bulochnikov also claims that Carey's alleged substance abuse led to some frightening incidents, one of which landed the star in the hospital in 2016 after believing that Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Prince were coming to her home for a dinner party.

There is also the issue of a bizarre video from 2017 that showed Mariah Carey in her New York City apartment talking very quickly and rambling to the camera while running around in a silk robe.

Sources close to the situation tell The Blast that the video will be a major component of the upcoming lawsuit against the star to bolster Bulochnikov's claim that she routinely “went above and beyond to protect and guard the singer.”
