Mariah Carey has been busy promoting her new album but that didn't stop her from taking time to meet up with another icon.

The "GTFO" singer was at Hot 97 making the radio station rounds in NYC on Friday when she ran into NFL free agent Colin Kaepernick.

Showing off her slender frame in a black jacket and tight skirt, Mariah posted about her first meeting with the former San Francisco 49er's QB.

"Such an honor to meet @kaepernick7 today!" she wrote, clearly supportive of Kaepernick and his work. He reciprocated the love, reposting the photo and calling Mariah an "icon!"

Kaepernick, who was responsible for igniting a firestorm in the NFL after kneeling during the Nation Anthem out of protest for racial injustice and police brutality, and also filing a grievance against the league claiming the owners colluded to keep him unsigned, generated polarizing reactions from Carey's fans.

Of course there were some negative comments on Carey's IG feed, but most fans were loving the meeting, and hoping for a possible collaboration.

The diva released "Caution" yesterday, her first album in 4 years.
