Mama June Admits To Having $2,500 A Day Meth Habit, Smoked Crack Night Before Intervention

By Ryan Naumann

Mama June says she was spending $2,500 a day on meth with her boyfriend Geno Doak.

In tonight’s episode of "Mama June: From Not To Hot"", the reality star was reunited with her daughter Pumpkin (real name: Lauryn Shannon) after being estranged for over a year. Pumpkin grilled her mother about what the hell happened to her.

Mama June broke down telling Pumpkin, "The only reason I sold the house, I was dead f**king broke. Because you know, at that point, we was doing quite a bit. I mean, it was a couple ounces a day. Our habit was $2,500 a day, if not more." An official on set said that could be equal to 25 grams of meth a day.

She added, "It wasn't something that just started and, 'oh my God, I started using drugs. You found out that I got busted…I got high because I wanted to. It's not the first time I've ever done drugs."

During the sit-down, June also admitted to having smoked crack the day before an intervention that Honey Boo Boo attended.

Mama June agreed to take a [drug test in front of her daughter. The drug test result came back positive for cocaine. Mama June immediately broke down saying she hadn’t used in three months. She teared up telling Pumpkin she was telling the truth. At one point, June promised to take a blood test to prove her claim.

Pumpkin said she wasn’t upset with the positive drug test because of her reaction. She felt her mother finally wanted to get clean. A further examination of the urine showed the test was negative for cocaine, but she had taken a lot of over the counter cough medicine.

The Blast

As The Blast previously reported, last year, a grand jury indicted Mama June and Geno Doak with two criminal charges related to cocaine possession.

The grand jury found the two “did unlawfully possess a controlled substance-to-wit: Cocaine, in violation of” the law and “did unlawfully possess with intent to use in inject, ingest, inhale or otherwise introduce into the human body, drug paraphernalia, to-wit: a pipe” against the law.

The drug possession charge is a felony, while the paraphernalia charge is a misdemeanor. They are both facing years in prison if convicted.
