Madonna Cancels Another Show After Onstage Fall Left Her 'In Tears'

Madonna has canceled another show, this one coming just days after she fell onstage and "burst into tears." The 61-year-old announced she was pulling the plug on her next Paris show while she recovers from the injuries due to the incident. As The Blast reported, the Queen of Pop fell off a chair during her Thursday performance and had to be helped up by one of her backup dancers. According to concertgoers, she "burst into tears" following the incident but continued on with the show. Explaining exactly what happened and calling herself a "broken doll," Madonna addressed her injuries in an Instagram post on Sunday and reminded fans she's just human.

"Here I Am——Flesh and Blood 🩸 If only knees didn’t twist and cartilage didn’t tear and nothing hurt and tears never fell out of our eyes.........But alas they do and Thank God for this important reminder that we are human," the began her lengthy post. In her own words, Madonna said the fall occurred "when a chair was literally pulled out from underneath me by mistake and I landed on the floor on my tail bone." Although Madonna took the stage on Saturday, she told fans she only did it because "I hate disappointing."

She's a 'Broken Doll'

That's when Madonna revealed the news that she's taking a break from the stage despite being almost done with her tour. Saying she's a "broken doll held together with tape and glue," the Grammy winner announced she "needs to stay in bed and rest for a few days," so she can "finish the tour with a smile on her face and in one piece." Madonna has been recovering from hip and knee injuries and she's used a cane for several months to help her walk as she continues her rehabilitation.

Madonna only has 7 performances left and has already canceled 14 shows during the tour due to her crippling injuries which caused her "indescribable pain." The singer recently talked about being "in tears from the pain of my injuries." Saying she considers herself a "warrior," Madonna stated, "I never quit, I never give in, I never give up! However, this time I have to listen to my body and accept my pain is a warning." Madonna also told fans that she completes 6 hours of rehab a day because of her injuries. While she's seemingly struggling on the stage, her personal life is heating up. Madonna is dating her 25-year-old backup dancer Ahlamalik Williams.
