Madonna had a rough show on Thursday night after she reportedly fell off a chair and had to be helped up by one of her backup dancers. The 61-year-old Queen of Pop was performing one of her residency shows at Le Grand Rex in Paris days ago when the incident went down, causing her to reportedly “burst into tears,” reports The Sun. Madonna is recovering from hip and knee injuries and has used a cane for several months to help her walk as she continues her rehabilitation.
As they say in Hollywood, the show must go on. According to The Sun, Madonna fought past the tears and continued to complete the two and a half-hour show. A fan who was reportedly at the show, wrote on Twitter: “A friend who attended @Madonna Thursdays show told me that at the end of Vogue, she missed the chair and fell on the floor. A dancer had to help her on to the chair and then during the Polaroid part she broke in to tears and couldn’t stop. #madonna #madamex #MadameXTour.”

Madonna is close to ending her tour with only 8 shows left and is expected to hit the stage again tonight. The singer has yet to address the incident but she did post footage from her Madame X Tour on Saturday, seemingly confirming the show will go on as planned despite the recent incident. “Saturdays are always so much Fun! ………… ❌” she captioned the playful footage. Madonna has canceled 14 shows during the tour due to her crippling injuries which caused her “indescribable pain.”
The singer recently talked about being “in tears from the pain of my injuries.” Saying she considers herself a “warrior,” Madonna stated, “I never quit, I never give in, I never give up! However, this time I have to listen to my body and accept my pain is a warning.” Madonna also told fans that she completes 6 hours of rehab a day because of her injuries. While she’s seemingly struggling on the stage, her personal life is heating up. Madonna is dating backup dancer Ahlamalik Williams who is 25 years old.
