Mac Miller is "happy" for Ariana Grandeand her engagement toPete Davidson, even though he thinks "the whole thing is a little strange."

Miller and Grande broke up in May, after two years of dating, and she became engaged to the "SNL" star just one month later. The rapper, who's been quiet about his ex, addressed the news during an interview with Apple's Beats 1 on Monday.

"It's strange. Like, the whole thing is a little strange but it's not negative. It's just a part of something that's going to continue to help make me who I am," Miller said.

"I am happy for her and moving forward with her life just as I'm sure she is with me," he continued.

The 26-year-old rapper admits he wasn't prepared for the media whirlwind that followed him during his "stressful" relationship with Grande. "Life is stressful. So, of course there were stressful times. It's not that unique," he told radio host Zane Lowe. "I was in love with somebody. We were together for two years."

Although they "worked through good times, bad times, stress, and everything else," Miller simply says,"it came to an end and we both moved on. And it's that simple, you know.'

And while the rapper has nothing but "positive energy" for his ex, the same can't necessarily be said for Grande. The singer slammed Miller after he crashed his SUV and got a DUI, taking to social media to declare she's "not a babysitter" and that he couldn't "keep his shit together."
