Luke Perry has millions of fans mourning his death, but none probably as hard as his son, who has now canceled an upcoming event.
Jack Perry, who wrestles on the independent circuit under the name “Jungle Boy” Nate Coy, pulled out of a wrestling match for the Bar Wrestling organization. Coy is an obvious reference to Luke’s real name, as well as the name of his grandfather.
Perry was set to get in the ring for a tag team match, but the company announced, “Unfortunately Jungle Boy will no longer be wrestling at our March 13th show,” adding, “Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this time.”
The wrestler has not made any public comments about his famous father’s death yet, but the “90210” star was a big fan of his son and had been seen over the years attending matches.
There have not yet been any funeral plans announced for Perry, who died at the age of 52 after suffering a massive stroke.
