Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, look to be ready for battle in the college cheating scandal after they hired a lawyer who was a director at the Department of Justice and even ran their Enron task force.

According to court records, Loughlin and Giannulli have brought on lawyer Sean Berkowitz to their legal team to join their current lawyer, Perry Viscounty.

Berkowitz is given credit for securing guilty verdicts for the Founder and CEO of Enron, Kenneth Lay, and for Jeffrey Skilling. He left the Department of Justice after the Enron cases wrapped up to work at the law firm Latham & Watkins.

As we reported, Lori and her husband Mossimo were both released on $1 million bond and had to put their mega Bel-Air mansion up as collateral and hand over their passports.

The judge put travel restrictions on them but ruled that Lori could travel to Vancouver for work purposes. However, the judge made it clear she must surrender her passport by December 19, because she’ll be done with her contracted work.

The modification for Lori wasn't needed because she would lose her Hallmark gig days later.
