One of the biggest news stories of 2019 has been all of the revelations surrounding Operation Varsity Blues. Dozens of wealthy parents, including actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, used less than legal means to scam their children into top universities.

2. A Messy Trial Is Ahead

Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli have been accused of paying USC officials $500,000 and falsifying images to get their daughters on the crew team and into the university. According to reports, they did all this through a fake charity. They are currently facing charges for fraud, bribery, and money laundering.

They have both plead not guilty to the charges, meaning that there is a messy trial ahead. Loughlin potentially faces 50 years in prison.

3. Her Daughters May Have To Testify

According to a report fro US Weekly, Loughlin's daughters Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli are "really upset" with Loughlin dragging the incident to trial after pleading not guilty, as the girls have been dealing it with tons of negative attention since the crimes were made public.

There is a strong possibility that the girls will have to testify against their mother, and Loughlin is allegedly worried about her relationships with her daughters.

"She knows she has caused so much damage to her daughters’ lives and reputations and knows a trial would only make it worse."

4. Felicity Huffman's Already Served Her Time

Felicity Huffman, who plead guilty and admitted to her crimes -- paying $15,000 to an SAT supervisor to improve her daughter's test scores -- and was slapped with a $30,000 fee and a 14 day prison sentence (of which she only served 11 days).

Perhaps Loughlin would have benefited from admitting guilt instead of fighting every charge. Things have only gotten worse for her.
