Lori Loughlin's Daughter Olivia Jade Shares Special Mother’s Day Tribute Amid College Admissions Scandal

By Jeff Mazzeo

Olivia Jade knows a mother's love knows no bounds (hence the whole paying a boatload of cash to get her into college), that's why she made sure to return some love on Mother's Day.

The 20-year-old daughter of Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli shared a special tribute post to the one person who always has her back. Whether she needs a shoulder to cry on after a long fake rowing session or someone that understands life's ups and downs, Lori has always been there for the young influencer.

Her Mother's Day Message

All jokes aside, it's clear from Olivia's tribute that nothing can come in between their love. She shared a couple of pics of a much younger Lori holding her as a baby and said she was proud to be her daughter.

"happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there," Jade captioned her touching post. "Thank you God for mine🤍🤍🤍🤍!!!!"

"You are my best friend and have held my hand every day for 20 years making it look like motherhood is an easy job. You are one of a kind. I love you so so so much & cannot wait to give you all the love in the world today & forever," she continued. "Thank you for being you. You are the most special person to me . I am so blessed to be your daughter and so proud to call you mom. ❤️ I LOVE YOU

The Rocky Time During The Scandal

Right after the College Admissions Scandal broke, Olivia was instructed to go dark on social media and told to stop making YouTube videos for her millions of fans. She followed instructions for a while but broke her silence with a video vlog back in December.

The fact that she disobeyed her parent's wishes and began creating content again didn't sit well with Lori and her father, according to US Weekly.

“There were major tensions between Olivia and Lori when the scandal first broke,” an insider told US Weekly, but Jade became sympathetic after she saw what her parents were going through. “She feels bad for them and has been spending more time at home.”

“Olivia’s YouTube video was a big betrayal,” the source said at the time.

Now it seems they have figured out that family is more important than any legal/social media drama.

Still Fighting The Case

If you recall, the couple was arrested in March of 2019 for allegedly bribing officials to get their daughters into USC and face multiple charges. Lori and Mossimo are still fighting the case and are set to go to trial in the near future because their attempt to get all the charges dismissed was shut down.

The scandal made headlines again last month when the prosecution released photos of Olivia and the couple's other daughter, Bella on rowing machines. After everyone saw the photos, the judge decided not to throw the case out and go forward with the trial.

Lockdown With Her Love

As her parent's trial looms, Olivia has returned to her old social media habits and has been spending this lockdown time with her boyfriend, Jackson Guthy.

“Olivia really loves him,” a source told US Weekly. “He’s so chill and laid-back that she can’t help but be comfortable around him.”

However, the source did admit that the young star is "anxious" about what the end result of her parent's trial will be.
