Lisa Vanderpump broke her social media silence to pay tribute to her mother, Jean, one year after her death. It's been a tough week for the "Vanderpump Rules" boss after four of the show's stars were fired over racial comments but she took a pause from the drama to acknowledge her late mom on Wednesday, June 17. Taking to social media, the 59-year-old restaurant tycoon shared a screenshot of a sweet photo showing a young Lisa with her smiling mother.
All dressed up and sporting their pearly whites, Lisa Vanderpump and Jean posed with their arms around each other. "Year ago today, what a sad year it’s been," the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star captioned the photo before adding, "Let’s live and learn.🙏🏼💕."
"Vanderpump Rules" fans watched last season as Lisa Vanderpump revealed the death of her mother at the age of 84. Just one year prior, she lost her brother to suicide. The restaurant boss was very open on camera about her struggles after losing both relatives.
During part three of the reunion, which aired on Tuesday, June 16, Lisa Vanderpump said she understood Ariana Madix and her struggles because she had been there too. Viewers watched the two get closer this season once Ariana openly began talking about living with depression.
Lisa Vanderpump's followers took a break from bashing the star to send well wishes on what is sure to be a tough day to an already hard past week. Immediately after posting the tribute to her mom, fans began sending heartfelt messages.
"It's a difficult road I know. One day at a time," one person wrote. "Sending hugs!! Can't believe it's been a year," added another. "Lisa, sending you lots of love today. And yes, while we’ve still got the time LET’S LIVE 💕," posted a third. Fans were not so kind last week with several taking aim at the "Pump Rules" star for what they claimed was turning a blind eye to racism. Many viewers lashed out, demanding Bravo fire the boss.
But they aren't only coming after Lisa Vanderpump. Bravo viewers want Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Lala Kent gone. Especially Jax who is being canceled after his "disgusting behavior" on part three of the reunion. As for Brittany, Faith Stowers claims Cartwright once called her a "nappy-headed ho," and while Lala made it right by making a truce with Stowers, many are reporting that was just to "avoid being fired." As of now, Bravo has not discussed if any other cast members are on the chopping block.
