The actress has longtime documented her love for Delilah, who resided in North Carolina with Reinhart's parents.

Although the actress grew up in Ohio, she moved with her family to NC when she was a teenager and even brought her boyfriend and fellow "Riverdale" co-star, Cole Sprouse, to visit this past Thanksgiving.

Sprouse got close with Delilah during their time home and Reinhart shared the above snap of the new best friends.

Reinhart announced Delilah, who she called "Big D," had been diagnosed with liver cancer earlier this year.

Sharing the news to her fans, she wrote: "My angel baby was diagnosed with liver cancer a few weeks ago. .Trying to soak up as much time with her as I can."

Delilah's BFF was the family's beloved yorkie-bichon mix named Sunny.

Reinhart always spent quality time with the pups whenever she headed home in the past, but it was clear, she and "Big D" shared a special bond.
