The rapper sat down with "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King with an exclusive look inside the studio where he recorded the song.

The 20-year-old rapper shot to A-list status after the song was remixed with vocals from Billy Ray Cyrus.

"Old Town Road" went on to beat Mariah Carey's record for the longest-running Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single of all time.

In the interview, X showed Gayle the Atlanta studio, called CinCoYo, where he paid just $20 for the recording time. The studio actually has a deal for "$20 Tuesdays."

X has mentioned before the beat only cost him $30, so combined with that cost for leasing the beat behind his lyrics, the song cost him $50.

Lil Nas X found the beat for "Old Town Road" in October 2018 and began writing after his sister told him he had to move out.

He has said, the lyrics were created out of knowing he was "out of options" and said that the pressure inspired the hook, "can't nobody tell me nothing."

We're guessing that $50 has just about become $5 Million.
