Liam Neeson Admits To Using A Butt Double With Charlize Theron: 'I Hate My Irish Butt'

By Jeff Mazzeo

Liam Neeson may be a huge movie star but he is still self-conscious about his junk in the trunk.

The Oscar-nominated actor appeared on Thursday's episode of "What What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen where he admitted that he used a butt double in the film, "A Million Ways to Die in the West." The scene he was referring to features Charlize Theron comically putting a flower between Neeson's character's cheeks... and we are not talking his mouth.

He's Not A Fan Of What He's Working With

When Cohen pressed Neeson about the revealing scene, that actor took a second to gather his thoughts.

"Okay, Mark Vanselow is my stunt coordinator. We're working on our 24th film together," Liam explained. "When we were doing that movie... I hate my Irish butt!"

"I said to Mark, 'Mark, this is a sign of our friendship, would you ever do this scene where Charlize Theron puts a daisy in your butt?' and he said sure."

Now that's true friendship!

Charlize Joked About Liam's Donk

The film was directed by Seth MacFarlane and also starred Neil Patrick Harris and Amanda Seyfried among others. While Theron was promoting the movie back in 2014, she joked about being thrilled about seeing Neeson's backside.

“I said what any healthy woman would say,” Theron told the Belfast Telegraph. “‘I get to see Liam Neeson’s butt!’ That’s what happened. I can think of so many worse jobs.”

Sadly, she only got to see his stunt double's rear but one rear is better than none. However, she was thrilled to step out of her comfort zone for a comedy role with MacFarlane.

“The most flattering thing you could say to me is that I could be a match to him,” she said. “I am a huge fan and have been for many, many years. He’s definitely the kind of person that from afar fascinates me. Then you have this opportunity to know someone, and when they don’t let you down, that’s such a gift.”

Neeson Didn't Think They Could Get Away With It

Liam admitted that he was shocked when he read all of the crazy scenes from the movie that they were trying to film and he believed that they would not be able to pull it off.

“When I read the script, it made me giggle a lot, let’s put it that way,” he said on the "Today Show" in 2014. “And I blushed quite a few times too.”

“I thought: ‘No, they’re not going to shoot this. No, they cannot shoot this. They won’t be allowed to get away with this!’ But they did.”
