Comedian Leslie Jones has decided she will not be returning to “Saturday Night Live” for season 45.
According to Deadline, Jones has decided to not return this fall as a series regular on “SNL” after finishing five seasons.
Jones has been on the show since 2014 and quickly became a fan favorite ever with her sketches. She earned two best supporting actress Emmy nomination in 2017 and 2018.
Sources told the outlet that Jones made the decision to leave before her contract was up. A normal “SNL” contract has each cast member signed for seven years, with the option to pick up the deal at the end of every year.
