When LeBron James said he wanted to be drippin' this isn't exactly what he had in mind.
The new Los Angeles Laker is scheduled to tape a segment with Nike on Thursday at a studio in Hollywood, and just as the crew got the stage perfectly set up for King James, the fire alarm was tripped and the emergency sprinklers rained down water.
A source at Line 204 Studios tells The Blast a gaffer accidentally bumped the sprinkler system, which caused the downpour. We're told everyone who was nearby jumped into action with towels and squeegees to mitigate the water damage.
L.A. City Fire tells us they responded at 9:24 AM to a call for an automatic alarm. We're told they stayed on scene for around 10 minutes to make sure everything was clear before heading out.
The source at the studio says they are bringing in a top-level cleaning service to spruce up the stage before James arrives, and are hoping everything will be dried out.
