Leah Remini shared her joy after criminal charges were filed against Danny Masterson and she made sure to put the Church of Scientology on notice.

The actress/activist wrote a note following the news of Masterson being arrested. She wrote, “Finally, victims are being heard when it comes to Scientology! Praise the lord! This is just the beginning Scientology, your days of getting away with it is coming to an end! #justice #scientologytheaftermath.”

Remini, who famously broke from the church, was instrumental in helping Masterson’s alleged victims take action against the actor. The finale of her A&E docuseries Scientology and the Aftermath included her speaking to Masterson’s accusers.

As The Blast previously reported, The Los Angeles County District Attorney announced Masterson has been “charged with forcibly raping three women in separate incidents occurring between 2001 and 2003.”

Masterson is facing three counts of felony rape by force or fear. A felony complaint was filed accusing Masterson of raping a 23-year-old woman between January and December 2001.

The complaint states, “In April 2003, Masterson allegedly raped a 28-year-old woman and sometime between October and December of that year he is accused of raping a 23-year-old woman who he had invited to his Hollywood Hills home.”

All of the alleged assaults took place at Masterson’s home. He is facing a maximum sentence of 45 years in state prison if convicted on the charges. Masterson is reportedly still in custody with his bond set at $3.3 million.

The actor is scheduled to appear in court on September 18.

Last year, Masterson was sued by four women who accused him of sexual assault. The lawsuit included The Church of Scientology as a defendant. They claimed the church protected Masterson’s behavior and ignored the women. The Church of Scientology and Masterson have moved to dismiss the lawsuit.

Masterson has denied the allegations.
