Lamar Morales Odom Jr. Says He Is Hurt By Having to Find Out About His Father's Engagement on Instagram

Lamar Odom popped the big question to Sabrina Parr on Tuesday and she said a big fat yes to marrying him. The couple announced their new engagement on Instagram.
According to Fox News, the only problem with doing it this way is that their family didn't know anything about Odom planning on proposing to Parr and they were caught completely off guard, according to a close source to the family.
The main one who vented his frustration on Instagram about hearing about his dad's new engagement on Instagram was Lamar's son, Lamar Morales Odom Jr.
In fact, 17-year-old Lamar Jr. said, "Last night I was emotional seeing my father got engaged through social media. I was hurt and caught off guard."
He continued, "At the end of the day, I am a teenager, that is becoming a young man. I have to be responsible for what I post, I have nothing but love for my dad and want what’s best for him."
Odom Sr's 21-year-old daughter, Destiny has not had anything to say about her dad and Parr's recent engagement announcement.

The close family source also said,
"It was a shock. Everyone is surprised that he rushed into an engagement. His friends and family really want the best for him."
The source continued saying, "Sabrina has the relationship on a fast track, and Lamar’s friends and family want Lamar and Sabrina to know each other better before moving too fast. Lamar’s family is definitely worried about him."
The newly engaged couple has only been together for three months so we can all see how the family is in shock with learning about the engagement, especially finding out about it on Instagram and not in person. You would think that Odom would have wanted to prepare his family before asking Parr for her hand in marriage. This is a big deal and it is no wonder it comes as a complete shock to his family, especially his son who seemed to be the most hurt and shocked out of everyone.

Odom isn't the only one of the couple who announced it first on social media. Parr also made an announcement on Instagram first while showing close-up pictures of her huge, blinding, oval-shaped engagement ring. She also shared a video announcing the engagement and showing the ring to friends and family to ooh and ahh over.
Odom and Parr became Instagram official in August of this year. Although the couple has not been together very long at all, they seem like they have a lot of love and chemistry for each other.
