Lady Gaga's night didn't end the way she probably anticipated after scoring another big award, because the star rushed to the aid of her dying horse after winning Best Actress at the Critics' Choice Awards.
The "A Star is Born" actress posted a heartbreaking message to her 32 million IG followers late Sunday night, saying goodbye to her dear pet, Arabella.
After describing how excited she was to win both Best Song and Best Actress (she tied with Glenn Close on that one), she says, "But it saddens me to say that after the show I learned that my dear horse, Arabella, is dying. I am rushing to her now to say goodbye."
Gaga then goes into detail about their special bond, sharing, "Our souls and spirits were one. When she was in pain, so was I."
Lady Gaga ends with a sweet goodbye and a song plug, "She will forever be a part of me. I am so very sad. But I wish for your pain to end, and the gates of heaven to open for you," Gaga writes. "I love you. Girl, where do you think you're goin?"
