Kylie Jenner is getting slammed on social media after the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star showed off some high-fashion chopsticks leaving many fans to remind her that “people are starving” and suggesting she should use her money to help those affected by the Coronavirus outbreak. The 22-year-old makeup mogul said she was craving sushi over the weekend then responded to those impulses by pulling out her $450 Louis Vuitton chopsticks. “Gotta start traveling with these,” she captioned the video showing off the lavish splurge.
Kylie Jenner probably didn’t realize the backlash her Louis Vuitton chopsticks would cause but that didn’t stop a few followers from bashing her on social media over what they’re calling a “stupid” move. “I wish we could remind
and her face full of plastic that there are people starving to death in the quarantine,” one person wrote on Twitter, “stop for a moment showing your life full of luxuries, including sushi sticks that are worth more than our houses. Kylie, stupid!” Another user wrote, “Kylie Jenner just done bought $450 dollars Louis Vuitton chopsticks sis she really out here bein boujee bout sushi.” But not everyone was angry over the post. Some said they aspired to be rich enough to afford life’s non-essential luxuries like those LV chopsticks.
“Level of Wealth I Aim for: Kylie Jenner with Louis Vuitton Sushi Chopsticks,” commented someone else. “If you ever think that you have a lot of money and spend it on unnecessary things, then remember that kylie jenner bought lv sushi sticks,” joked another. “Kylie Jenner is so rich and fancy she even eats sushi with LV chopsticks. Life that deserved,” posted a third. This isn’t the first time Kylie Jenner has caught heat for flaunting her wealth amid a crisis. Earlier this year, fans were angry after she shared an “insensitive” post while Australia was burning down because of bushfires.
When the reality star posted a selfie amid the wildfires and wrote, “Find ur fire,” as the caption, fans went off. She quickly deleted the caption but it wasn’t fast enough leaving many to pressure her to donate instead of posting selfies. “Being how famous you are you could raise a serious amount of awareness on the Australian fires that so desperately need donations to keep the fires being put out and animals being treated for injuries. Stop posting selfies and help the world!” one angry fan wrote. Kylie Jenner later brought attention to the Australian wildfires and donated $1 million to relief efforts.
