Life As A Mom

Most of the women in the Kardashian/Jenner family are mothers now, but Kourtney paved the way first. She is currently raising three children -- Mason, 9, and Reign, 4, and Penelope, 7 -- and recently announced that she would be taking a break from the family reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians in order to spend more time with her kids. She told Entertainment Tonight:

"I just decided to spend more time as a mom and put more of my energy there. But I’m not saying goodbye. I think you’ll have to see more of it on the new season, season 18. It isn’t airing yet, but it’s being filmed. Currently, in this room."

Posting About Her Kids

While most of her Instagram is devoted to her lifestyle brand Poosh, Kourtney also regularly posts about her kids. She has faced plenty of backlash from mommy shamers before, and a new post about her son Reign has people talking.

In a new post, her youngest son is seen with very long hair. She seemed to anticipate the backlash in the caption:

"You feel me smoooooove." Meet Tarzan. Anyone with hair comments is absolutely jealous of these divine locks."

Facing Backlash

People immediately began offering their opinions in the comment section, questioning Kourtney's decision to let her son grow his hair so long.

"I love your family so beyond much but dear god please cut Reign’s hair"

"So you’ll cut Penelope’s hair who is a girl but not Reign who is a boy?"

"The question about the hair really is only if HE wants long hair, or if YOU are forcing it on him. Have you asked him?"

Still, some people had her back and offered their support.

"she’s obviously not going to force reign to have his hair long, he is old enough to decide if he wants it long or short, he wants it long and that’s his choice but it doesn’t really matter anyways it’s his hair not anyone else’s."

"does it matter if reign is a boy and has long hair?? No. Does it matter if p has short hair and is a girl? No. The length of someone’s hair doesn’t define what gender they should be, stop commenting on kourtneys post if u don’t have anything good to about her and her family."

Not The First Time

Either way, Kourtney has made it pretty clear that she doesn't care what people think when it comes to how she raises her children.

Earlier this year, when someone questioned Reign's hair, she snapped "She really need to not worry about kids that aren’t her own. He is a happy boy." Additionally, when someone asked where her kids were in a post about her 2018 trip to Italy, she responded "My son was taking the photo, and the other two were sitting a table across from me. Thank you so much for your concern."
