Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, shared a photo of the NBA legend from several years ago, saying “I Can’t Breathe” and is asking his fans not to use an innocent life lost as an excuse to loot.
Vanessa Bryant posted the photo on Instagram, Of Kobe Bryant wearing the t-shirt during warm-ups for a game back in 2014. Vanessa captioned the picture with an important message about dealing with this terrible situation.
“My husband wore this shirt years ago and yet here we are again.?#ICANTBREATHE Life is so fragile. Life is so unpredictable. Life is too short,” she began.
Vanessa continued, “Let’s share and embrace the beautiful qualities and similarities we all share as people. Drive out hate. Teach respect and love for all at home and school. Spread LOVE. Fight for change- register to VOTE.”
But, she also asked protestors not to loot or destroy property in her message, “Do not use innocent lives lost as an excuse to loot. BE AN EXAMPLE OF THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE. #BLACKLIVESMATTER ❤️” she wrote.

After the game finished, Kobe told reporters about the shirt, “It’s a justice issue.”
Fans of the NBA star are flooding Vanessa’s IG with the heartbreaking messages. “I’m convinced that Kobe was the glue that held this world together! We miss you Bean!?” one person wrote.
“? He would’ve been such an amazing leader during these times ? ?” another added.
“For real, @kobebryant was like the glue holding it all together because since he & mambacita past, worlds gone to ?.. #ripkobeandgianna.”
A person on social media even pointed out if the coronavirus would have hit earlier, Kobe may still be alive. “If this coronavirus lockdown happened earlier in the year, Kobe might still be alive because there would have been no games to go to,” they wrote.
