Vanessa Bryant Shares Heartbreaking Message On Mamba Day -- 'Life Truly Isn't Fair'

Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa, shared a heartbreaking video and message on the anniversary of 'Mamba Day' marking Kobe's last game in the NBA, telling fans the legend's death "truly isn't fair" and it is just "senseless."

Vanessa Bryant shared a montage video of Kobe's stunning last game were #24 dropped 60 points in his last game on an NBA court. VB captioned the video with a message about his work ethic, family life, and how his untimely death is just simply not fair.

"My husband worked his ass off for 20 years. Gave it his all. All he wanted was to spend time with our girls and me to make up for lost time. He wanted to be there for every single milestone and special moment in our girl's lives," Vanessa began.

She continued, "He only got to enjoy 3 years and 9 months of retirement. We had 2 more daughters, he won an Oscar, he opened Granity studios, he became a 5x best selling author and coached Gianna’s basketball team in that time. She worked hard and gave her all 7 days a week just like her daddy."

Vanessa ended her message with an emotional plea about the death of her husband and daughter, saying, "I wish I could back to that morning, every day. I wish they had a normal local game on 1/26. Life truly isn’t fair. This is just senseless."

'Mamba Day' was first introduced following Kobe's retirement as a celebration of his legendary career. Kobe's final game, April 13, Nike decided to honor him with "Mamba Day." On that special day, 200 athletes paid tribute to the Black Mamba by wearing black and gold Nike sneakers during their games.

Several celebrities sent Vanessa messages of encouragement, including Chris Bosh's wife, Adrienne, who wrote -- "He truly set the bar in so many ways. He was such an amazing father and husband and we are thinking of you and your family always. Your photos with your girls yesterday brought so much light. I hope that you stay surrounded in that light, love, and hope always....even in the hard moments and days...you are a pillar of strength and you show that as a mother you have poured your all into showing up for them no matter what and it is inspiring. ❤️♾"

Jessica Alba commented on the post, writing, "💔 I’m so sorry Vanessa... 🙏🏽" Jessie James Decker also sent love saying, "❤️❤️❤️ and Daphne Joy wrote "Heartbreaking, sending our love 😔❤️❤️❤️"

Bryant Family Shares Easter Photos On First Holiday Without Kobe, Gigi

Earlier this week, Vanessa shared video and photos of her family gathering easter eggs in the families back yard. It is the first Easter holiday Kobe's girls have spent without their father and sister.

As you know, the family is quarantined like most American's inside their homes, and several fans sent messages to Vanessa to show their support.

"You are so strong to keep pushing through for your girls and family. You have an army of support aka the whole nation, here for you and praying for the Bryant family! I can only imagine how life is during this pandemic. I am empathetic for you, for all of you."
